Roomah: Bipolaire Architects "40 Housing for Youth" in Torrevieja


From the outset, the project of 40 houses for rent in Torrevieja couple was considered by the developer, the IVVSA as its pilot project sustainable. Wanted to understand the possibilities of housing VPO "sustainable" and added costs. Prior to the presentation of the first drawings of writing a report which explained the possible improvements to a standard dwelling, together with an estimate of costs. In this way, the developer had a document to decide where to invest in improving the quality and avoid unnecessary discussions and subsequent changes, as was going to be a learning process for both the developer for the construction and technical equipment.

Roomah: A-Cero "Casa Santander"


Santander House is a shelter located in a sloping rectangular plot of about 2200 m2, overlooking the River Miera.

The design idea was to emphasize the views of the River Miera, oriented to the south. The slope of the terrain helped the provision of housing, resulting in a set of 3 volumes around a central core that is spread on the ground.

Roomah: Oscar Niemeyer "The architect centennial"



Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida Niemeyer Soares Filho is 100 years old on December 15. Better known in the world as Oscar Niemeyer, this genius of architecture celebrate its centenary in his home in Rio de Janeiro, with the family, which includes five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. But the main cities and some European, accompanied him in the celebrations, with tributes, including competitions in Portugal, exhibits of the island of Madeira to Switzerland, television programs and books of remembrance in Germany.

Roomah: LOQ Kit prefabricated modular housing


LOQ Kit is a modular system for building houses, designed by architect Patrick FreeTar. It is a system of building houses that allows a variety of different combinations, and in turn gives the possibility to adjust the housing and expand, including adding or subtracting plants. Its mounting system means that we can disassemble and move it to another place they mounted again in the new location.

Roomah: Construction: House in calle Colina Vista Hermosa / Smiljan Radic


In the commune of Las Condes in Santiago, Chile, a new building designed by architect Smiljan Radic. These are two houses out of concrete platforms, above the level of the ground, which has a slope that rises from the street. These trays, build a plane for home, patio and terrace with access to each house, containing a glass box that houses the public spaces on the first floor and bedrooms on the second. A second volume, clad in wood, leaves and perpendicular to the main volume contains the stairs and a veranda on the second floor. Under concrete trays are stored cars to street level.

Roomah: Bicentennial Tower, Mexico City / OMA: The highest in Latin America


A few days of the Millennium Tower will probably be the highest tower Santiago, showing the Costanera Center, announcing that it would be the highest, but in South America.
